WIN OR LOSE?
A win or lose attitude can be counterproductive.
-It can create excessive pressure, tension in your muscles, and anxiety.
-At the core, sports are about personal growth.
-Growth is a process that requires
-Learning is often most powerful when life does not go the way you planned.
-Too often athletes are too hard on themselves when they don't win.
-Instead of learning a valuable life lesson from the defeat, they sulk.
-It's healthy to be disappointed, but within reason and for a short period of time.
-The most important skill is to step back, evaluate the loss and learn the lesson(s).
=What did I do wrong? What adjustments can I make? What actually worked?
-If you can do this, you will have a win or learn mentality.
-You'll improve faster. And in the process, you'll actually win more too.
